Middleman Ministries
began its ministries, focused to help people in Mexico to be
dependent upon God and themselves. We work in Mexico with the
very poor who actually goes thru trash to make their living by
recycling tin, glass, cardboard, and anything else that is recyclable.
Middleman builds
homes for people through the generosity of various groups
who come to Mexico to bless a family with a new home. We also
go to the city dump of Mexico and give food on a bi-weekly basis.
Middleman also
preaches and teaches the word of God to these same people that
receive the food, with many coming to the saving knowledge of
Jesus Christ.
Middleman has
also opened a school to educate adults, for many of the people
working at the city dump do not have a formal education. These
educational classes give them the opportunity to receive a sound
education offering 1st thru 8th grade education. In addition
we offer education in a specific trade, things like beauty shop,
sewing, bakery, and computer classes for those 13 years of age
and above.
Middleman works
with the Mexican government who send certified teachers to teach
these classes. We provide the building and supplies for this
education. Much like in the states once they complete a 9-month
class the student receives their certification of graduation.
This educational project is changing the lives of so many.
Middleman has
also been blessed with a church on the ministry property bringing
the word of God and planting seeds. Many of the people attending
church services are receiving the gift of salvation, becoming
believers in Christ. They are also being taught how to live their
lives as Christians with sound Biblical teachings instilling
principles and morals that are sometimes lacking. Many of these
new believers are being taught how God may use them, making them
vessels to disciple others for Christ.
The name of the
church and school properties are called "Manos del Alfarero"
which means in English "Hands of the Potter." This
name came about as Rosie (Ministry Director) began to seek in
prayer what God wished to name the property. The Holy Spirit
began to speak saying "that they would be molding and transforming
lives not only through salvation in Christ, but also through
the school of education." "The Lord is the Potter and
we are the clay," impressed upon by the Holy Spirit.
Rosie had a similar
experience in name the ministry. Once again Rosie sought guidance
from God for the naming of the ministry, with the Lord saying
name it "Middleman Ministries." Rosie then asked why
"Middleman" God. God replied, "My Son was the
middleman for you and now you are to be the middleman to those
who do not know Him."
